AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Med-Surg Oncology unit in Ocala, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors for each patient.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans in response to patient progress and outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary departments, and care team members to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Respond promptly to code situations and supervise or delegate tasks to other healthcare team members to maintain care quality.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida RN license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Proficiency in EKG interpretation per unit-specific requirements.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills with fluency in English.
