<p>North Central Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas is recruiting a full-time Physical Therapist to join its NICU therapy team — a specialized, multidisciplinary environment serving neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, pediatric inpatient and outpatient, and developmental follow-up populations. This is a days-only position embedded within a system that includes a dedicated children's hospital, a pediatric emergency unit, and more than 120 years of community-based care. <h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Full-time, day-shift schedule at North Central Baptist Hospital — no evening or night rotation stated</li> <li>Patient population spans NICU, pediatric intensive care, pediatric inpatient and outpatient, and developmental follow-up patients</li> <li>Advanced-level clinical competency expected; practice is evidence-based and individualized with a family-centered developmental care model</li> <li>Functions as part of a multidisciplinary care team including physicians, nursing, social work, discharge planners, residents, and fellows</li> <li>Responsibilities include system-wide administration, interpretation, and evaluation of tests and measurements in the NICU</li> <li>Active role in developing realistic developmental goals aligned with multidisciplinary team expectations</li> <li>Provides in-service education to therapists, nursing staff, residents, and fellows; supervises therapy students in clinical observation</li> <li>Participates in Performance Improvement activities and departmental quality initiatives</li> <li>System includes six full-service hospitals, a specialized children's hospital with a dedicated pediatric emergency unit, a comprehensive cancer care network, fitness and rehabilitation centers, imaging centers, ambulatory services, and the Baptist School of Health Professions</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution; Master's degree in Speech Therapy from an accredited institution (discipline-dependent)</li> <li>Preferred: Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy; Master's in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders or equivalent</li> <li>Minimum experience: pediatric population exposure through clinical work, observation, volunteer work, or equivalent applicable experience</li> <li>Preferred experience: consistent, dedicated NICU and/or pediatric clinical experience; Spanish language proficiency preferred</li> <li>Required licensure: current Texas State license in the applicable therapy discipline; ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required for speech pathway</li> <li>Preferred certifications: Certified Neonatal Therapist (CNT), Infant Massage certification, Pediatric Certified Specialist (PCS), Pediatric Residency, or NICU Fellowship completion</li> <li>Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained through an American Heart Association-approved Training Center or the Military Training Network</li> </ul>
