<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Full-time, rotating schedule across a large acute care medical center campus</li> <li>Terminal cleaning responsibilities in the highest-acuity clinical environments: Operating Room, Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, ICU, Labor & Delivery OR and rooms, Recovery/Pre-holding, and Behavioral Health Units</li> <li>Responsible for general cleanliness of resilient floor and carpeted surfaces in corridors, patient rooms, public areas, offices, and treatment rooms</li> <li>Performs floor stripping, waxing, and full floor tech duties in addition to standard EVS functions</li> <li>Applies infection control practices and isolation techniques in accordance with departmental and hospital standards</li> <li>Maintains and reports on the condition of assigned equipment, furniture, building fixtures, and supplies</li> <li>Part of a large, team-oriented EVS department within a six-hospital system that also includes a specialized children's hospital, a comprehensive cancer care network, imaging centers, fitness and rehabilitation centers, and the Baptist School of Health Professions</li> <li>System has served the San Antonio community for more than 120 years</li> </ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required; 3 years of full-time Environmental Services work experience may be substituted in lieu of formal education</li> <li>Minimum 3 years of cleaning experience in a hospitality or healthcare setting, with demonstrated terminal cleaning experience</li> <li>Ability to read, write, and understand English</li> <li>Demonstrated competency with infection control practices, isolation techniques, and safe chemical/equipment handling</li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment; must meet deadlines and exercise sound judgment</li> <li>Must complete all established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period</li> </ul>
