<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>PRN rotating coverage across Northeast Baptist Hospital, part of a six-hospital full-service system that also includes a specialized children's hospital with a dedicated pediatric emergency unit, a comprehensive cancer care network, imaging centers, fitness and rehabilitation centers, and ambulatory services</li> <li>Unarmed security role; Kevlar vest worn under uniform at all times while on duty</li> <li>Foot and vehicle patrol of facility grounds to detect and prevent unauthorized or illegal activity</li> <li>Access control responsibilities: monitoring and securing designated entrances and exits, verifying credentials, directing authorized personnel and visitors</li> <li>Emergency response duties include managing disturbances, disruptive individuals, fire events, and medical emergencies — including patient restraint in accordance with facility and corporate policy</li> <li>Safety escort services provided to employees, patients, and visitors as needed</li> <li>Pedestrian and vehicle traffic control during high-volume periods and special events</li> <li>Incident documentation prepared and submitted in accordance with corporate security policies and procedures</li> <li>Response to protective alarm signals and suspicious activity reports</li> <li>Collaborative environment with physicians, nursing staff, administration, and external vendors across a large integrated health system</li> </ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered</li> <li>Two to three years of experience in a security role, law enforcement, or military service required</li> <li>Level II Noncommissioned Security Officer license with the Texas Commission on Private Security required within 60 days of hire</li> <li>Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire (ARC or AHA accepted); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS specifically required within 60 days of hire</li> <li>Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification required within 60 days of hire or transfer into the department</li> <li>Valid Texas driver's license required and must be maintained throughout employment</li> <li>Annual background check required in addition to pre-employment screening</li> <li>Physical demands include continuous exertion: stair climbing, extended standing and walking, and carrying individuals during emergency situations; annual physical may be required</li> <li>Must be able to perform all duties while wearing personal protective equipment including masks, gowns, and security-related gear</li> <li>Preferred: Texas Security Officer Commission Level III certification</li> </ul>
