The Hospitals of Providence – East Campus in El Paso, Texas is recruiting a full-time Registered Nurse for its Hematology Oncology unit, working a night-shift schedule. Practice Highlights

  • Full-time nights position on a dedicated Hematology Oncology unit
  • Direct clinical patient care with responsibility for assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing care on a per-shift and unit level
  • Oversight and supervision of delegated care staff, with accountability to the CNO for quality, safety, and resource management
  • Medication administration in accordance with hospital policy, with emphasis on safe and timely delivery in an oncology context
  • Practice guided by established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control
  • Active role in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergency and disaster situations

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required); Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Current, active Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; AHA ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP required if applicable per unit policy
  • Recent acute care nursing experience preferred; oncology or hematology background is a strong asset for this unit
