Practice Highlights

  • Physical Therapist Level II designation — eligible after completion of three full years of clinical practice (beginning of the fourth year)
  • Responds to and interprets physician orders for physical therapy across inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Administers and interprets patient tests and measurements; reviews charts and progress prior to each treatment session
  • Develops individualized, realistic functional goals in collaboration with patients and families, targeting return to highest level of independence

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; Master's or Doctorate degree preferred
  • Active Texas State Physical Therapy license required prior to start (new graduates must obtain licensure prior to orientation)
  • Minimum three years of clinical experience required for Physical Therapist Level II designation; no prior experience required for Level I entry
  • Preferred: clinical experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings; familiarity with marketing and business operations a plus
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred
  • Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required on hire (American Red Cross or American Heart Association); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire
