Practice Highlights

  • Full-spectrum caseload covering neonatal through geriatric patient populations
  • Responsibilities include administration, interpretation, and evaluation of speech-language assessments and standardized tests
  • Clinician plans and modifies individualized treatment programs based on ongoing evaluation findings
  • Preferred procedural competency in Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) examinations — candidates with this skill set are prioritized

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders (required)
  • New graduates: possession of a Texas Intern License from the State of Texas prior to orientation start date
  • All other candidates: active Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology plus Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Active Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification on date of hire (American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted); AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required within 60 days of hire
  • No prior work experience required for entry-level placement; prior clinical experience and MBS competency preferred
  • Demonstrated clinical competency across the neonatal-to-geriatric age spectrum as applicable to assigned unit
