Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, California is recruiting a Market Director of Procurement Operations to lead supply chain strategy across a three-hospital network serving the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin regions. This is a full-time, day-shift leadership role with direct accountability to the Market/Group Financial Officer and functional reporting to the Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations. The position carries market-wide scope — spanning Desert Regional Medical Center, JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio, and Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree — and is the central driver of procurement efficiency, cost savings, and supply chain standardization across all three campuses. Practice Highlights

  • Market-level leadership role overseeing procurement operations across three acute care hospitals in Southern California's Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin regions

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–7 years of healthcare materials management experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role; 7–10 years of progressively responsible supply chain experience with 5 years at the director level preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Healthcare Management, Finance, Business, Supply Chain Management, or Accounting required; MBA or MHA preferred
  • Acute care hospital procurement and supply chain knowledge required; direct acute care hospital procurement experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in healthcare purchasing, inventory management systems, procurement operations, and supplies distribution
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and results-driven orientation; experience with program planning, project management, and performance/quality management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders including clinical, physician, and administrative teams
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office product suite
