St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida is recruiting a full-time Ancillary Program Coordinator to lead extern training, student placement, and succession planning across the Palm Beach Health Network. Practice Highlights

  • Full-time, day-shift coordinator role supporting ancillary workforce development across the Palm Beach Health Network (PBHN) — a multi-hospital system in Palm Beach County
  • Responsible for ancillary disciplines including laboratory, therapy (physical, occupational, speech), radiology/imaging, respiratory therapy, and surgical technology
  • Establishes and manages affiliation agreements with academic partners and schools across all ancillary program disciplines
  • Designs and executes a comprehensive extern immersion program, facilitating ongoing cohorts to fill hard-to-fill ancillary positions across PBHN facilities
  • Collaborates directly with Lab Directors, Radiology/Imaging Directors, and Therapy Directors at PBHN hospitals to place and develop extern talent
  • Partners with recruiting teams and academic institutions to drive succession planning, orientation completion, and post-graduation hiring pipelines
  • Manages student rotations and ensures each clinical discipline maintains a full complement of students at all times
  • Contributes to organizational performance through participation in councils, committees, and workgroups
  • Home facility is St. Mary's Medical Center — a 420-bed acute care hospital with more than 80 years of service to Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast
  • Facility designations include Level I Trauma Center, state-designated Pediatric Trauma Referral Center, certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and Level III NICU
  • Palm Beach Children's Hospital at St. Mary's is the only dedicated children's hospital between Fort Lauderdale and Orlando, with 196 pediatricians across 36 subspecialties and 24/7 dedicated pediatric emergency and trauma care

Qualifications

  • Minimum education: clinical ancillary licensure in a relevant discipline, or active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Florida
  • Minimum three years of patient care experience in a clinical or ancillary setting
  • Prior experience in healthcare education, training, or staff development required; supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Demonstrated ability to function as an educational resource across multiple clinical disciplines
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with department directors, academic partners, and recruiting teams
