About the Community

El Paso sits at the westernmost tip of Texas, bordered by New Mexico to the north and the Rio Grande to the south — a bicultural, bilingual city of nearly 700,000 with a low cost of living relative to most major metros and a warm, sun-drenched climate year-round. The Franklin Mountains State Park, the largest urban park in the United States, sits directly within city limits, offering hiking, mountain biking, and climbing minutes from home. El Paso's strong military presence (Fort Bliss), growing arts and food scene, and proximity to both Albuquerque and the Chihuahuan Desert make it a distinctive and underrated destination for clinicians seeking an active lifestyle, affordable housing, and a deeply community-rooted patient population.
