Practice Highlights
- Full-facility environmental cleaning responsibilities across an acute care hospital campus with multiple specialized service lines
- Floor care duties include dust mopping, wet mopping, burnishing, stripping, and refinishing of all tile surfaces
- Carpet care responsibilities: vacuuming and deep carpet cleaning
- Germicidal surface sanitization of all facility areas in compliance with healthcare infection control standards
- Wall, door, and baseboard cleaning; trash removal; and linen and laundry delivery
- Removal of both infectious and non-infectious waste per regulatory protocols
- Project cleaning assignments in designated areas as directed
- Accurate recordkeeping including discharge logs, pager sign-out sheets, cart sign-out sheets, and Kronos time corrections
- Facility serves as a destination hospital for minimally invasive heart and vascular surgery, advanced stroke care, emergency care, wound care, and bariatric surgery
Qualifications
- Knowledge of floor care equipment operation (buffers, burnishers, extractors, and related heavy cleaning machinery)
- Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions in English
- Strong prioritization skills and customer service orientation in a patient-care environment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or EVS experience in a healthcare setting preferred
