Practice Highlights
- Leads recruitment strategy execution for assigned Michigan market facilities and/or designated service lines
- Direct supervisory responsibility for a subset of the regional recruitment team, including performance management, annual evaluations, training, and day-to-day support
- Acts as short-term coverage for the Group Recruitment Manager during absences — a clear signal of leadership visibility and advancement potential
- Partners with Department Managers and Directors to maintain accuracy of open positions and align recruitment activity with contract labor and overtime management
- Manages full-cycle recruiting: intake, sourcing strategy, application screening, salary calculation, offer presentation and negotiation, and requisition closure
- Maintains Applicant Tracking System (ATS) integrity, including posting practices optimized for SEO and candidate experience
- Develops market-specific sourcing strategies encompassing media recommendations, niche job boards, conferences, job fairs, and hiring events
- Conducts regular onsite facility rounding using intake guides and Service Level Agreements to understand unit culture and staffing fit
- Provides facility leadership with actionable recruitment reports and data-driven insights
- Trains and develops new recruiters and recruitment coordinators on the team
- Consults with hiring managers on equitable hiring practices and final selection decisions
- Weekly onsite visits to assigned facilities required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
- Minimum 4 years of recruiting experience required
- Previous experience in a people leadership or supervisory role preferred
- Prior recruiting experience within an acute care hospital environment strongly preferred
- Strong internet sourcing and digital recruiting skills
- Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to drive decision-making and outcomes across direct reports and stakeholder groups
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruiting technology platforms
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills; fluency in spoken and written English required
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and achieve outcomes through collaboration
- Must reside in the Michigan market
