About the Community
Worcester is Massachusetts' second-largest city, offering an urban lifestyle at a significantly lower cost of living than Boston, which sits roughly 45 miles to the east and is easily accessible by commuter rail. The city is home to a robust higher-education and healthcare ecosystem, a thriving arts and restaurant scene, and easy access to the outdoor recreation of central New England — including hiking, skiing, and lake country. Families benefit from strong public and private school options, and the region's density of academic medical institutions creates a collegial professional community for clinicians at every career stage.
