<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Direct clinical care on a dedicated Hematology/Oncology unit serving the Rio Grande Valley regional patient population</li> <li>Full-shift accountability for assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized nursing care plans</li> <li>Responsible for safe, timely medication administration in accordance with hospital policy, including oncology-specific regimens</li> <li>Supervision and delegation of care to appropriate support staff on a per-shift basis</li> <li>Practice governed by established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control protocols</li> <li>Integration with Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergency and disaster events</li> <li>Accountable to CNO-level leadership for quality, safety, and appropriate resource utilization</li> <li>Part of a faith-inspired health system with a long-standing mission of service, healing, and education in the Rio Grande Valley community</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred</li> <li>Active Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain required</li> <li>AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP required as applicable per unit policy</li> <li>Recent acute care nursing experience preferred; oncology or hematology background is an asset</li> <li>Demonstrated competency in nursing process: assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation across a complex patient population</li> </ul>
