Practice Highlights

  • Unarmed security role covering a full acute care hospital campus within a five-hospital regional system
  • Night-shift assignment with responsibility for monitoring and patrolling the entire facility
  • Monitors and secures designated entrances and exits; verifies credentials and directs authorized personnel and visitors
  • Responds to emergency and unusual situations including disturbances, disruptive individuals, fires, and medical emergencies — including patient restraint in accordance with facility policy
  • Provides personal protection, traffic and parking control, and customer service to staff, patients, physicians, students, vendors, and visitors
  • Prepares and submits all required incident documentation per facility and system security policies
  • Maintains working knowledge of all security orders (written and oral) and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Part of a health system with deep community roots, serving El Paso families continuously since 1902 across five campuses including a dedicated children's hospital

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a security role, law enforcement, or military service — OR a minimum of 3 years in a strong customer service role with demonstrated ability and willingness to learn security practices
  • State-required security licensure or certification as mandated by Texas law
  • Valid Texas state driver's license
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
