About this role
AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Clinical Risk Manager at its Kissimmee, Florida campus to lead facility-wide risk identification, investigation, and reduction programs.
### What you'll do
- Manage regulatory surveys related to patient complaints and Risk Management Program Surveys
- Monitor, analyze, and report aggregated event data to hospital leadership, identifying trends and risk exposures
- Serve as a resource to administration, staff, and physicians on risk management, legal, and ethical issues, including off-hours coverage
- Lead Root Cause Analysis and Action processes for adverse events and near-misses
- Develop and deliver educational risk management programs for personnel and leadership as required by law
- Integrate risk management activities with quality and patient safety programs across assigned areas
### What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field (required)
- Active licensure as RN, NP, PA, respiratory therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, pharmacist, paramedic, or CPHRM certification (one required)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare-related field OR 3 years in risk management or claims
- Solid understanding of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and expected outcomes
- Working knowledge of federal and Florida state statutes relevant to risk management and patient safety
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate process improvement projects and work across matrix teams
