A PRN Medical Nutrition Therapist II position is open at AdventHealth Connerton in Land O Lakes, Florida, providing clinical nutrition services across an inpatient hospital setting.
### What you'll do
- Conduct nutrition-focused physical assessments, review medical records, and evaluate anthropometric and dietary status to identify malnutrition and nutrition risk.
- Develop and adjust individualized nutrition plans of care using evidence-based guidelines, including motivational interviewing and the transtheoretical model.
- Deliver culturally sensitive nutrition counseling and education to patients managing disease-related nutritional needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals during patient care rounds to coordinate nutrition interventions.
- Provide supervised practice experience to dietetic interns and new staff to meet learning objectives.
- Document assessments, orders, and care plans accurately and timely in the electronic health record per protocol.
### What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a nutrition-related field (required); graduate degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nutrition experience (or graduate degree plus 1 year of clinical experience).
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong English communication skills — reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension.
- Demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based nutrition theories in a clinical environment.
