About this role

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a full-time NICU RN for night shift at its Hinsdale, Illinois hospital campus. ### What you'll do - Deliver direct nursing care to neonatal intensive care and nursery patients, including IV management, lab collection, respiratory care, and medication administration. - Prepare the delivery room for infant transition and assist with stabilization of the newborn following delivery. - Provide couplet care and conduct appropriate care and screening of postpartum mothers. - Educate and support parents and families on infant care, bonding, and plan of care. - Maintain neonatal resuscitation skills and assist with interfacility transfers when indicated. - Ensure accurate identification banding of newborns, mothers, and significant others and document appropriately in the medical record. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois. - Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred. - Current BLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required. - At least 1 year of acute care experience preferred; 2+ years of nursery or mother-baby experience preferred. - Proficiency in professional nursing principles for assessment, care, and treatment of NICU and nursery patients. - Familiarity with Cerner or Epic EMR preferred. ### What's included - Pay range: $33.60–$56.52/hr ($69,888–$117,562 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one. - Paid time off from day one and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support. ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale is a faith-based community hospital located in Hinsdale, Illinois, operating as part of the broader UChicago Medicine and AdventHealth system.
