About this role
AdventHealth is seeking a PRN Oncology Outpatient Registered Nurse to join the AH Cancer Institute team in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform timely holistic assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors, including screening for abuse or neglect.
- Formulate nursing diagnoses and develop individualized, goal-oriented plans of care for oncology outpatients, adjusting interventions based on patient response.
- Assess and interpret diagnostic data — including lab results, non-invasive monitoring data, and interdisciplinary notes — relative to patient age and condition.
- Apply specialized knowledge of oncology diagnoses, procedures, medications, complications, and equipment while adhering to regulatory standards and infection-prevention protocols.
- Promote exceptional patient experience through effective communication, hourly rounding, and collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification required; PALS and NRP preferred.
- EKG competency per department requirements.
- One or more years of nursing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills with ability to function as a team member.
### What's included
- Per diem rate of $43.33/hour; full pay range $31.53–$52.24/hour (annualized range approximately $65,582–$108,659).
- Day-shift schedule Monday–Friday 6:45 am–5:15 pm and Saturday 9 am–3 pm.
- Commitment of 12 shifts per 6-week period, including one Saturday shift.
- Structured 4–8 week onboarding training (four 10-hour shifts per week).
