About this role

AdventHealth Avista is hiring a PRN Night Shift Registered Nurse for its NICU unit in Louisville, Colorado. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive assessments evaluating physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors for neonatal patients. - Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and established standards of care. - Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions. - Educate families on neonatal conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to support understanding and compliance. - Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and ensure effective interdisciplinary communication. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required. - Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required. - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. - Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to apply abstract reasoning to assess patients and revise care plans. - Proficiency in English (read, verbal, and written) and basic computer navigation skills. ### What's included - Hourly pay range of $34.26–$59.24 (annualized approximately $71,261–$123,219 based on 2,080 hours). - PRN scheduling flexibility on overnight shifts. - Opportunity to work within a faith-based, mission-driven health system. ### About the practice AdventHealth Avista is a community hospital located in Louisville, Colorado, part of the AdventHealth network, a large faith-based nonprofit health system operating across multiple states.
