About the Community

Queens is New York City's most ethnically diverse borough, home to more than 2.4 million residents, two major international airports, and a transit network — including the Long Island Railroad, extensive subway lines, and major expressways — that puts all of Manhattan and the broader metro area within easy reach. The borough offers a genuine urban lifestyle with distinct, tight-knit neighborhoods, world-class dining representing dozens of global cuisines, major green spaces including Flushing Meadows Corona Park and Gantry Plaza State Park, and a thriving arts scene anchored by institutions such as the Museum of the Moving Image and MoMA PS1. For physicians relocating from outside the region, Queens combines the professional depth of the New York market with a community-oriented character and a cost profile more accessible than Manhattan, making it a compelling long-term home base.
