Texas Digestive Disease Consultants (TDDC) in Flower Mound, Texas is recruiting a gastroenterologist to join an established, physician-led private practice backed by the national infrastructure of GI Alliance. The position offers a clear partnership track with ownership opportunities in a surgery center that includes infusion, pathology, and anesthesia ancillaries — a meaningful income diversification advantage rarely available in employed models. Flower Mound sits 20 miles northwest of Dallas and 25 miles northeast of Fort Worth, with DFW International Airport roughly 11–12 miles away, making this one of the most accessible suburban markets in the country. Texas has no state income tax. Target start date is Fall 2027.

Perks and Benefits

  • Generous financial package (specific figures available upon inquiry)
  • Signing bonus provided
  • Relocation allowance provided
  • Annual CME stipend included
  • Employed position with a defined partnership track
  • Opportunity for ownership interest in an ambulatory surgery center with infusion, pathology, and anesthesia ancillaries
  • No Texas state income tax

Practice Highlights

  • Established general gastroenterology practice — joining an existing patient base, not building from scratch
  • Physician-led model with local clinical autonomy supported by national-scale business infrastructure (analytics, revenue cycle, compliance, technology, and operational support via a Management Services Organization structure)
  • Low-volume ERCP and EUS opportunity for candidates with advanced endoscopy training or interest
  • 1:6 call rotation — favorable call burden relative to many community GI practices
  • Governance structure includes a Physician Executive Committee, Regional Clinical Governance Boards, and Local Head Physicians — clinical decision-making remains with physicians
  • Access to GI Alliance's national network of data insights, quality metrics, and specialty-care resources
  • Castle Connolly-recognized practice affiliation

Qualifications

  • Board certification or board eligibility in Gastroenterology (American Board of Internal Medicine — Gastroenterology)
  • Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship
  • Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain prior to start
  • Competency in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy; ERCP and EUS experience or interest is a plus but not required given the low-volume nature of advanced procedures at this site
