About this role
AdventHealth Hinsdale (UChicago Medicine AdventHealth) is hiring a PRN Endoscopy RN for day-shift coverage at its acute care hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois.
### What you'll do
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, and sociocultural dimensions prior to and during endoscopic procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring patients for adverse reactions throughout the procedure.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and procedure-specific standards.
- Educate patients and families on procedures, post-care instructions, and self-care strategies to support recovery and compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, and ancillary staff to coordinate safe, efficient procedural flow.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with ability to manage competing priorities in a procedural environment.
- Proficiency in EKG interpretation and abstract clinical reasoning to assess and revise patient care plans.

- Hourly pay range of $33.60–$56.52 (approximately $69,888–$117,562 annualized at full-time equivalent).
