About this role
AdventHealth Ocala is hiring a contract Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy/GI Lab at its Ocala, Florida campus, compensated at $52/hr on day shift.
### What you'll do
- Deliver competent, compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopy and GI procedures throughout admission, procedure, and discharge phases.
- Administer medications accurately per physician orders and respond to unit and hospital code situations.
- Assist physicians with bedside procedures and manage patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, procedures, and discharge instructions, documenting outcomes and initiating referrals as needed.
- Verify and sign off physician orders, obtain lab specimens, and evaluate nursing care plans to ensure safe care delivery.
- Maintain a safe care environment for patients requiring oxygen support or pain management per established policy.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Current BLS (CPR) certification.
- ACLS, PALS, or TNCC certification preferred.
- Associate degree in nursing (minimum); additional certifications may apply per unit credential grid.
- Proficiency in English (verbal, written, and reading) and basic Windows-based computer navigation.
