Practice Highlights

- Approximately 14 patients per day, a mix of new and established follow-up visits
- PA works both independently and in direct collaboration with the attending gastroenterologists
- Clinical scope includes detailed history-taking, physical examination, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, pathology findings, imaging, and laboratory results
- Endoscopy-adjacent counseling role: educating patients and families on endoscopic indications, findings, potential complications, and expected outcomes
- Active collaboration with referring physicians, hospitalists, surgical partners, and other specialties to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Supervisory and educational role with clinical support staff including nurses, medical assistants, and schedulers

Qualifications
- Active Texas Physician Assistant license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners — required
- New PA graduates are welcome and will be considered; GI experience is preferred but not required
- Gastrointestinal or internal medicine clinical background is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collegially across a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to maintaining all credentialing, licensure, and continuing education requirements on an ongoing basis
