About the Community
Lancaster sits in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, approximately 70 miles west of Philadelphia and 80 miles north of Baltimore — close enough to access major-city amenities while offering a distinctly lower cost of living, with median home prices around $280,000. The area is served by strong public and private schools, including Lancaster Country Day School, and offers an active outdoor scene anchored by Lancaster County Central Park, kayaking on the Conestoga River, and scenic hiking trails. Cultural life is robust for a city its size, with Broadway-caliber productions at the historic Fulton Theatre, a thriving farm-to-table dining scene, and the nationally recognized Lancaster Central Market — one of the oldest continuously operating farmers markets in the country.
