A Certified Medical Assistant at AdventHealth Medical Group OB/GYN supports day-to-day clinical operations at the Tampa Palms outpatient clinic in Tampa, Florida. ### What you'll do - Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document visit reasons, patient history, and allergies following nursing protocols - Assist physicians with examinations and procedures while maintaining clear communication for quality care - Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and audit ordered tests to ensure timely receipt and follow-up of results - Monitor nursing supplies and equipment functionality, reporting maintenance needs to leadership - Serve as daily point of contact for clinic operations, assessing and resolving issues or escalating as needed - Conduct training sessions, review patient care protocols, and ensure compliance with infection prevention guidelines ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Proficiency in vital signs, body substance isolation, and specimen collection - Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hour (~$35,589–$56,950 annually) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being support, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth Medical Group OB/GYN Tampa Palms is an outpatient women's health clinic located at 14710 Bruce B Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33613, operating Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. The clinic is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system with a mission centered on whole-person care.
