About this role
AdventHealth Gordon is hiring a part-time night-shift RN for its LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) unit in Calhoun, Georgia.
### What you'll do
- Perform ongoing assessments of obstetrical and perinatal patients and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans aligned with interdisciplinary goals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following patient safety protocols and documenting all interventions accurately.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and care plans based on assessed learning needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the care team to coordinate safe and timely patient admission, transfer, and discharge.
- Advocate for patient rights and ensure handoff communication and documentation meets safety standards.
- Follow CDC isolation guidelines, proper PPE use, and hand hygiene policies to maintain a safe care environment.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (preferred).
- At least 1 year of obstetrical or perinatal nursing experience (preferred).
- Prior hospital or perinatal nursing background (preferred).
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills appropriate to the patient's level of care.
