About this role
AdventHealth Castle Rock is hiring a full-time night-shift Registered Nurse for its Labor and Delivery unit in Castle Rock, Colorado.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of laboring patients, evaluating physiological, psychological, and sociocultural factors to guide individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring patients for adverse reactions and adjusting interventions as needed.
- Educate patients and families on labor progression, treatment plans, medications, and postpartum self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize maternal and neonatal care.
- Respond promptly to code situations and emergency deliveries, providing stabilizing interventions.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
### What we're looking for
- Active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience.
- Associate of Nursing degree required; Bachelor of Nursing preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills for high-acuity obstetric settings.
- Ability to supervise and delegate care to ancillary team members effectively.
