About this role
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is seeking a part-time Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer for its MFM Clinic in Hinsdale, Illinois, working Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.
### What you'll do
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic in accordance with provider orders and established protocols.
- Acquire and analyze ultrasound images and data, completing detailed technologist worksheets to support radiologist review and dictation.
- Verify patient identity, obtain relevant clinical history, and explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation throughout exams.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the EMR and PACS systems.
- Collaborate with radiologists and MFM providers to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of care.
- Maintain exam room readiness, equipment cleanliness, and adherence to infection control and safety standards.
### What we're looking for
- Active registry in at least one of the following: RDMS (AB or OB/GYN), RVS, RVT, RT(VS)(ARRT), RT(BS)(ARRT), RMSKS, or RDMS-PS.
- BLS/CPR certification (required).
- 3+ years of Maternal-Fetal Medicine sonography experience (highly preferred).
- Proficiency in ultrasound physics, cross-sectional and vascular anatomy, and Doppler techniques.
- Competency with PACS applications and radiology software; basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong patient communication skills across all age groups, including the ability to address sensitive topics such as fetal ultrasound findings professionally.
