About this role
AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for Women's Services on the day shift at its Orlando, Florida campus (10999 Narcoossee Rd, 32832).
### What you'll do
- Monitor nursing staff performance, deliver feedback, conduct appraisals, and execute improvement plans to maintain clinical and professional standards.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing unit data, identifying gaps, and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Resolve staff conflicts promptly using mediation techniques to sustain a cohesive, positive work environment.
- Mentor and precept new staff through hands-on training, ongoing feedback, and structured professional development support.
- Communicate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
- Ensure unit compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies to uphold patient safety standards.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Florida — required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required.
- At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of charge nurse or nursing leadership experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, financial/productivity management awareness, and EHR proficiency.
