About this role
AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a part-time Assistant Nurse Manager for its Women's Services unit in Orlando, Florida, working day shifts with a weekend rotation (2 × 12-hour shifts per week).
### What you'll do
- Monitor nursing staff performance, deliver feedback, conduct appraisals, and execute improvement plans to maintain clinical and professional standards.
- Identify training needs, organize educational programs, and mentor staff to support their professional growth and career progression.
- Lead unit-level quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Resolve staff conflicts promptly using mediation techniques to sustain a cohesive, positive work environment.
- Communicate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.
- Manage unit business operations including productivity monitoring and financial practice oversight.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (required).
- 1+ year of charge nurse or relevant nursing leadership experience (preferred).
- 1+ year of acute care nursing experience (preferred).
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records and strong written and verbal communication skills.
