About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant is needed to support an OB/GYN outpatient clinic operated by AdventHealth in Calhoun, Georgia.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation.
- Assist with minor OB/GYN procedures and document results accurately in the practice's designated system.
- Administer medications, initiate lab testing, and manage closure of care gaps during patient visits.
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions in clear, accurate terms.
- Maintain OSHA compliance, safety protocols, and proper equipment function; manage supply inventory.
- Travel as needed to support staffing needs across clinic locations.
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as a CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, CMAC, or NRCMA required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year of related clinical work experience preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and chronic disease management concepts.
- Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced clinical environment.
