About this role
AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a full-time Certified Surgical Technologist for its Labor and Delivery unit at the Orlando, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Anticipate surgeon needs and keep the circulating nurse informed of supply and equipment status throughout each procedure.
- Assemble all required instruments, supplies, and medications prior to each case.
- Apply aseptic and sterile technique to maintain a safe surgical field during L&D procedures.
- Hand surgeons the correct instruments and tools in real time based on dictated instructions.
- Support cost-containment standards by facilitating efficient use of supplies and equipment.
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments.
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as a Surgical Technologist: CST (State or NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical/vocational training preferred.
- Enrollment in or completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- 1+ years of relevant surgical tech experience preferred; 2+ years preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and human anatomy.
