About this role
AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a part-time Certified Surgical Technologist for its Labor and Delivery unit in Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Anticipate surgeon needs and keep the circulating nurse informed at every stage of the procedure.
- Assemble all required supplies, equipment, and medications prior to each case.
- Monitor aseptic technique across the entire surgical team and take immediate corrective action for any breaks.
- Maintain quality standards that support cost containment and patient safety.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments to support patient and employee satisfaction.
### What we're looking for
- Active CST credential (State of Florida, NBSTSA, or NCCT TS-C designation accepted).
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Completion of or current enrollment in an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Solid working knowledge of aseptic/sterile technique and surgical instrumentation.
- 1–2 years of surgical tech experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical/vocational training preferred.
