About this role
A part-time Certified Surgical Technologist role on the Labor and Delivery unit at AdventHealth Winter Park in Winter Park, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Scrub and instrument for obstetrical surgical cases, including cesarean sections, in one of three dedicated OB operating rooms.
- Support a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit delivering approximately 3,500+ births per year across 10 labor rooms and 4 OB triage rooms.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary OB team that includes OB Hospitalists, Neonatologists, and Anesthesiology providers available on-unit 24/7.
- Participate in flexible, shared scheduling with day shift hours and adapt to varying case volumes.
- Contribute to quality initiatives including the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative's PROVIDE (reducing primary c-sections) and MORE (reducing maternal opioids) programs.
### What we're looking for
- Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Technician in Surgery – Certified (NTSC) credential required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
- Completion of, or current enrollment in, an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- 1+ years of surgical technologist experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical/vocational school credential preferred.
- Demonstrated schedule flexibility — varied shifts and shared scheduling are standard on this unit.

- Hourly pay range: $21.56–$40.09 ($44,845–$83,387 annualized).

AdventHealth Winter Park's Labor and Delivery unit is a Level II Maternity Care boutique-style environment with 3,500+ annual births, a 12-bed Level II NICU, and a 34-bed Mother Baby Unit on the same campus. The unit supports ongoing professional growth through Professional Excellence Programs, a Perinatal Nurse Internship, and Multidisciplinary Obstetrical Simulation Training.
