About this role
A PRN Chaplain is needed at AdventHealth Kissimmee to provide spiritual and pastoral care across night and weekend shifts at the hospital in Kissimmee, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Assess spiritual needs of patients and families as part of a holistic interdisciplinary care team.
- Conduct regular rounds and focused visits with patients, loved ones, and clinical staff in assigned areas.
- Respond to code blues and emergencies, verify patient identity, notify family, and coordinate with staff and legal authorities.
- Assist patients and families in navigating major health decisions, including moral, medical, and ethical concerns.
- Document and chart all pastoral activities in compliance with hospital, state, and federal regulations.
- Mentor chaplain interns and residents as assigned and participate in interdisciplinary care conferences.
### What we're looking for
- Master's of Divinity or equivalent graduate theological degree (72-hour minimum) required.
- Minimum 4 units of ACPE-accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (Levels 1 and 2 engaged) required.
- One or more years of pastoral ministry or chaplaincy experience preferred.
- Ordained or Commissioned Minister credential preferred.
- Ecclesiastical Endorsement Certificate preferred.
- Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) designation preferred.
### What's included
- Pay range: $26.29–$48.91/hour (approximately $54,683–$101,732 annualized).
- PRN schedule covering nights and weekends, typically 4 PM–8 AM with 8 on-shift and 8 on-call hours.
