A Patient Care Technician opening on the Women's Care Surgical Unit at AdventHealth Tampa Women's Center in Tampa, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform treatments and deliver direct patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and cultural background under the direction of a Registered Nurse - Respond appropriately in clinical emergencies and follow prescribed isolation and infection-control protocols - Document and report all procedures and patient observations in accordance with department policy - Assist in obtaining nursing histories and communicate abnormal findings to the RN - Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff while enforcing safety regulations - Participate in performance improvement activities and support quality standards and initiatives ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Active BLS/CPR certification (required) - One of the following credentials: CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT (required) - At least 1 year of PCT or applicable patient care experience (preferred) - Previous experience in an acute care setting, as a unit secretary, or as a monitor technician (preferred) - Strong communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hour ($33,010–$52,790 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being programs, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth Tampa Women's Center is a dedicated women's health facility located at 3100 E Fletcher Ave, Tampa, FL 33613, operating as part of the AdventHealth system.
