Practice Highlights
- Full-time night shift position: 1900–0730
- Six shifts per two-week pay period; some weekend shifts required
- Direct participation in sterile preparation and assistance with vaginal deliveries and C-section surgeries
- Gathers patient assessment data and provides basic nursing care under the direction of licensed staff, per the established plan of care
- Serves as the communication hub for the L&D department — coordinating information flow across the unit
- Responsible for maintaining patient rooms and the nursing unit in a clean, organized, and environmentally safe condition
- Orders and stocks unit and office supplies to support ongoing patient care needs
- Part of Desert Care Network, which includes a Level 1 Trauma Center, a comprehensive stroke program, a cancer center, and the only Level 3 NICU in the Coachella Valley
- Network spans three hospitals: Desert Regional Medical Center (Palm Springs), JFK Memorial Hospital (Indio), and Hi-Desert Medical Center (Joshua Tree)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Current CPR certification required
- Previous experience in an acute care setting required
- Basic computer skills required
