About the Community
New Braunfels sits in the Texas Hill Country corridor between San Antonio (roughly 30 miles southwest) and Austin (roughly 45 miles northeast), offering easy access to two major metros while maintaining a distinct small-city character. The area is known for the Comal and Guadalupe rivers, Schlitterbahn waterpark, Gruene Historic District, and a rapidly growing dining and arts scene — all paired with a cost of living well below the Austin and San Antonio urban cores. Strong public and private school options, abundant outdoor recreation, and a warm climate year-round make New Braunfels a compelling destination for clinicians relocating from higher-cost markets.
