Practice Highlights
- Shift-based clinical supervision of the OB-GYN unit, with direct accountability for patient care coordination and staff assignment across the shift
- Functions as unit patient flow coordinator — managing admissions, discharges, and transfers in real time
- Coordinates next-shift staffing in collaboration with the Director, Clinical Manager, Coordinator, and/or House Officer
- Serves as a clinical resource, leadership role model, and escalation point for bedside staff throughout the shift

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- Active Texas State Registered Nurse license required at time of hire
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an equivalent OB-GYN or related unit required; 4 years preferred
- National specialty certification (e.g., RNC-OB or equivalent) preferred
- Active AHA or ARC Healthcare Provider BLS required on hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire
- Depending on department assignment, the following certifications may be required: ACLS, TNCC, PALS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., and Fetal Monitoring — with applicable grace periods per department-specific RN job description
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training required per department protocol
