Practice Highlights
- Full-time night-shift schedule on the Labor and Delivery unit
- Direct clinical patient care with per-shift responsibility for assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized nursing care plans
- Supervision and delegation of care to appropriate support staff on the unit
- Accountable to the CNO for high-quality, safe nursing care, clinical staff competency, and appropriate resource management
- Practice governed by established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control protocols
- Medication administration per hospital policy with emphasis on safety and timeliness
- Participation in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies and disaster events

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred
- Active Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification as applicable per unit policy
- Basic Fetal Monitoring certification required; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
- Recent acute care experience preferred; L&D background strongly advantageous given unit-specific fetal monitoring requirements
