<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Full-time night-shift schedule on the Labor and Delivery unit</li> <li>Direct clinical patient care with per-shift responsibility for assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized nursing care plans</li> <li>Supervision and delegation of care to appropriate support staff on the unit</li> <li>Accountable to the CNO for high-quality, safe nursing care, clinical staff competency, and appropriate resource management</li> <li>Practice governed by established standards of safety, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control protocols</li> <li>Medication administration per hospital policy with emphasis on safety and timeliness</li> <li>Participation in Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during emergencies and disaster events</li> <li>Part of a regional health system serving the Rio Grande Valley — a large, medically underserved catchment area with meaningful community impact</li> <li>Institutional mission rooted in compassionate, faith-inspired care with a strong tradition of putting patients first</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing preferred</li> <li>Active Texas RN license or eligibility to obtain</li> <li>AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required</li> <li>AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification as applicable per unit policy</li> <li>Basic Fetal Monitoring certification required; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required</li> <li>Recent acute care experience preferred; L&amp;D background strongly advantageous given unit-specific fetal monitoring requirements</li> </ul>
