<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred</li> <li>Active RN licensure in the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain)</li> <li>Two years of acute care nursing experience preferred; prior clinical L&amp;D experience strongly valued</li> <li>Active Healthcare Provider BLS (ARC or AHA) required at hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required within 60 days of hire</li> <li>AHA ACLS required within 60 days of hire or transfer into the L&amp;D role; completion before end of orientation period is expected</li> <li>AHA NRP required within 60 days of hire or transfer into L&amp;D (also required for any nurse floating into the unit); completion before end of orientation period is expected</li> <li>Fetal Monitoring — Novice RNs (&lt;1 year L&amp;D experience): GNOSIS Introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring within 30 days of hire; AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring within 8 months of L&amp;D orientation</li> <li>Fetal Monitoring — Experienced L&amp;D RNs (&gt;1 year experience): AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring required at hire or within the first 90 days</li> <li>S.T.A.B.L.E. certification (Level 2 Nursery): proof of prior completion accepted, or must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer; renewal not required</li> </ul>
