Valley Baptist Medical Center – Brownsville is recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse leader to serve as Director of Obstetrics, providing 24/7 operational and clinical oversight of the OB service line at a community hospital with deep roots in the Rio Grande Valley dating to the early 1920s. Practice Highlights

Qualifications

  • Active, current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting as a manager or full-time charge nurse or equivalent leadership role
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, hospital operational competency, and highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
