<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred</li> <li>Active Texas State Registered Nurse license required at time of hire</li> <li>Minimum experience: none required; two years of acute care or previous clinical nursing experience preferred</li> <li>AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) — active healthcare provider certification required on hire; AHA Healthcare Provider BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire</li> <li>AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) — must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role, ideally before end of orientation</li> <li>AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) — must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role, ideally before end of orientation</li> <li>Fetal Heart Monitoring — tiered pathway based on experience level: <ul> <li><strong>Novice / New to L&amp;D:</strong> Basic FM within 30 days of hire; AWHONN Intermediate FM within 9 months; AWHONN Advanced FM within 9 months of Intermediate FM completion</li> <li><strong>Experienced L&amp;D RN:</strong> Evidence of AWHONN Intermediate FM within the past 2 years required on hire (or completion within 6 months if lapsed); AWHONN Advanced FM within 9 months of Intermediate FM completion or hire, depending on prior completion date</li> </ul> </li> <li>S.T.A.B.L.E. — proof of prior completion required, or must be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer into unit</li> </ul>
