About the Community
New Braunfels sits in the Texas Hill Country corridor between San Antonio (roughly 30 miles southwest) and Austin (roughly 50 miles northeast), offering residents access to two major metros while maintaining a distinct small-city character. The area is known for the Comal and Guadalupe rivers, Schlitterbahn waterpark, Gruene Historic District, and a growing dining and arts scene that reflects the region's German heritage. Cost of living remains favorable relative to Austin, and the local school district and rapid residential development make it a strong choice for families relocating to Central Texas.
