Practice Highlights
- Full-time rotating position within the Labor & Delivery unit at Holy Cross Hospital, Nogales, AZ
- Scope of practice encompasses initial, re-assessment, and focused patient assessment across physiological, psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle domains
- RN serves as primary coordinator across all disciplines, managing care continuity from admission through discharge
- Responsibilities include implementation and monitoring of individualized patient care plans, physician and nursing order execution, medication administration, and ordered treatment delivery
- Active role in transition and discharge planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Patient and family education is a core component of the role, with documentation maintained in the healthcare record
- Care coordination duties include delegation, supervision, and prioritization within the unit team

Qualifications
- Valid, current Arizona RN license required — or compact state license with the ability to obtain Arizona licensure within 30 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required
- ACLS (American Heart Association), PALS, and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred; additional certifications may be required per department
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
