Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana is recruiting a full-time Nocturnist to join its well-established Hospital Medicine group at a 396-bed tertiary care facility that has served northeastern Indiana and northwestern Ohio since 1904. This is a night-shift hospitalist role embedded in a Joint Commission–accredited, Level II adult and pediatric trauma center with a certified comprehensive stroke center, an accredited comprehensive cancer program, and the region's only accredited comprehensive bariatric surgery center — a subspecialty depth that translates directly into a high-acuity, clinically rich overnight practice.

Qualifications

  • Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
  • Active Indiana medical license or eligibility to obtain prior to start
  • Comfort managing high-acuity tertiary-care inpatients overnight, including trauma, stroke, oncology, and post-surgical co-management
