Practice Highlights

  • 294-bed acute-care hospital with ACS-verified Level 3 trauma designation and active pursuit of Level 2 status
  • 29 dedicated critical care beds and 10 operating rooms on campus
  • Overnight (nocturnist) schedule covering the ICU, critical care, intermediate care, and trauma floor
  • Triage and primary management of Level 2 trauma activations, including acute resuscitations; direct assistance with Level 1 activations

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner master's degree program
  • NPs must hold AGACNP or ACNP certification
  • Active Texas APP licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to start
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification required; ATLS familiarity or certification preferred
  • Prior APP clinical experience in trauma, surgery, emergency medicine, or critical care preferred
  • Demonstrated procedural proficiency and strong surgical and critical care knowledge base
