StaffMed Health Partners is placing a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant with a high-acuity cardiac surgery program in Kissimmee, FL. ### What you'll do - Serve as surgical first assist in cardiothoracic procedures, including open cardiac surgery cases - Perform Endoscopic Vein Harvest (EVH) independently - Support advanced heart failure therapies including LVAD, Impella, ECMO, and heart transplant patients - Manage inpatient rounding and postoperative care on cardiac surgery patients - Handle outpatient clinic responsibilities alongside inpatient duties - Participate in a 1:4 call rotation, including one weekend per month ### What we're looking for - Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Surgical first assist experience, required - Endoscopic Vein Harvest (EVH) experience, required - Familiarity with advanced heart failure devices and therapies (LVAD, Impella, ECMO, heart transplant) preferred - Comfortable working in a high-acuity cardiac surgery environment - Collaborative practice style suited to a team of 2 surgeons and 5 APPs ### What's included - Competitive salary with an employed position through a national healthcare system - Comprehensive health benefits package - 401(k) retirement plan - Strong operational, clinical, and leadership support ### About the practice This cardiothoracic surgery program operates within a national healthcare system and offers a collaborative APP model with two dedicated surgeons and a five-member APP team.
